Hello Thespians, this is Outreach Jake. I just got back from State Thespian Convention 2011! And you might have too! To recap, it was a very successful conference for DSA. We had 5 (count 'em) FIVE Critic's Choice Mainstage performances. So congrats Terra, Ethan, Sam, Carson, Amanda, Everett and Andie! You guys all kicked the butt of the mainstageness. Also Soda and Stefan both won the Critic's Choice Scholarship, and Ethan and Ryan got cast in next year's All-State Show! This is an informal announcement, and I expect there will be official list as well...somewhere.
Yours truly qualified for Nationals with the delightful Annie Barbour. Many scenes qualified and I can't wait to see everyone there. Overall this Convention was a great thing for DSA. It's always fascinating to watch people get and excited and freak out over IEs, as well as watch sweaty awkward people at the dance. I always enjoy convention, even if I'm stressed out of my mind.
If you didn't catch State this year, I hope you consider going next year. You can't explain the experience. The experience has to be experienced to truly experience the experience. So yeah! Hope you all have a devune holiday season! Byeh.
