CW Rep
Hi Thespians, It's your Creative Writing Rep, Shawn Cremer, but anyone and everyone should read this! So, let's see... Are you a junior? An I.E. performer with two superiors? An eighth grade thespian? If you answered "no" to any of the above questions, then you don't really have to keep reading (unless you're waiting to hear on the results *hint, Ave. Q, hint*) So, you could go to National Thespian convention. But why? I mean, it's expensive and let's face it; Lincoln, Nebraska isn't everyone... Continue reading ...
7 days, 17 plays.......My Lincoln experience
Hey guys! Last time I wrote I was writing to clarify about the details and procedures of our fundraiser for the 2012-2013 school year. But, this time I get to write to you about my Lincoln experience. This was my second time at National Thespian Convention; However, each time I have been it is a totally different experience. Both times have been super fun! The trip started on June 25th when we departed from the DSA parking lot at 4 am. No no you did not read that wrong. The 30 or so pe... Continue reading ...

Nationals!!!

Hello Thespians, young and old! This is your publicist speaking. I'm here to give everybody a summer update on Nationals. As always, the 3 AM bus ride is delightful, but was even more so this year due to the lovely drizzle everybody woke up to. As fifty thespians boarded the bus, slightly damp, we settled comfortably into our seats and prepared to enjoy a movie- a VHS- the bus was not equipped with a DVD player. Anyways, after a long ride, we arrived in Lincoln and enjoyed dinner that night a... Continue reading ...

Last week I began to talk about the amazing things that one can do at the annual International Thespian Festival. This week I’ll move on to discuss the plethora of opportunities that await each and every Thespian who attends.
Not only is Festival one of the most fun weeks of the year, it is also an great week to see some amazing theatre. Sure, not every production, I.E., or actor is Tony-worthy, but you get a chance to see the wide range of talent from across the country. Even the less tal... Continue reading ...

If you are one of the many lucky thespians to have attended state convention, you have no idea what “nationals” is like. In Colorado we are confined to one location (albeit an extensive & large one). In Lincoln, the Festival is spread across the entire campus of University of Nebraska - Lincoln (UNL). Many people, including myself, disparage Lincoln as a tiny little town among the cornfields, which it somewhat is. However, the UNL campus is a diamond in the rough.
Two years ago, when I ... Continue reading ...

Secretary
Hello this is Secretary Samie here to blog about the nationals experience! Now first of all performing Urinetown for an audience of about 2,500 theatre-loving people was amazing. We got great feedback on our show, from the backstage crew to our fellow thespians; there was tons of positive buzz about our show. The most amazing thing about the performance-in my personal opinion-was coming out for curtain call to see the entire audience already on their feet. Talk about some thunderous applause! ... Boy, oh Boy
Hola! Its Tess :) Have any of you ever been to Lincoln, Nebraska? Well, I just got back from that rather dull place. For those of you who haven't been there, it's hot, humid, and sticky every minute of the day. Lincoln is a relatively small city with not much going on. It basically revolves around the University of Nebraska, which is a great school. If your wondering why I was there, it was because the national thespian convention is held there annually and I had the honor of going with the s... Continue reading ...
uh...me again
hey. It's Zach. Slowly realizing I do this more than anyone else. Well, to those reading this, we just returned from the INTERNATIONAL THESPIAN FESTIVAL in Lincoln, NE. It was a fantastic trip. As you all (really should) know, we (being the Urinetown cast) got to perform twice, including the closing performance of the festival (best for last, right?). Other highlights of the trip include:SEVERAL amazing DSA IEsP.S. It's Not What It Looks Like (Now critically acclaimed!) College Auditions (and ... Continue reading ...
