Hello all! It's Everett. Well I am super excited for state convention, and it's coming up FAST! If you're going to state for your first time this year, then get pumped. I always have a blast and learn so much. Not only are you meeting cool people from other schools that share the same interest in theatre, but you get to work with them in awesome workshops and such. There are also SO many individual performances (IE) to watch, which is always so interesting. It's also fun just to sort of be away for a weekend and be with friends and have fun, however DON'T abuse that privilege. You must remain responsible and of course respectful. You don't want to mess up this oppurtunity for you and your troupe!! So at state, I have two IE's entered. I'm doing a duet scene with one partner and a duet song with another. I'm very excited to show these to a room of thespians because they're all kind and supportive and I get good feedback from judges. In addition to the IE's, I'm also auditioning for the All-State Show The Foreigner. It's a hilarious show that any thespian attending state can audition for and then the show will be performed next year at state convention! The audition will of course have some intense competition, but I think no matter what, it'll be a great experience auditioning alongside these other thespians. Well I guess that concludes this blog. Ok.
