Cabaret+Mandatory Meeting+Middle School Theatre Day+State Convention=Fun for Thespians

November 9, 2011
The Fall Thespian Cabaret is TOMORROW NIGHT, November 9th, at 7 PM in the Black Box. It is a suggested donation of $5. If anybody is interested in going to the Junior Thespian Cabaret, which will also be fun and very entertaining, it starts at 6 o'clock. So, please come join us for two (or one) hours of fun songs and skits. Also, in order to help raise money for scholarships to assist people going to nationals, we will be having a "Strip to Rip." You can buy a wax strip and rip hair off of Ethan, Ryan, or Everett. On a less avant-garde note, we will also have cans to collect spare change for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids.

Next up is the mandatory meeting of November 30th, in the Black Box. Please be sure to be there ON TIME (We need to start at 12:30. We will talk about important rules for State, so you cannot miss it.) Also, if you have them yet, please turn in your pink rules sheet to Ms. Hann's office door folder as soon as possible.

Middle School Theatre Day is coming up (December 3rd) and those of you teaching classes will need to start planning your lessons to turn in to Samie before the MSTD.

Finally, STATE! It is December 8th-10th. So, get working on those scenes/songs/monologues/college auditions. We will discuss the rules in depth at the Nov. 20 meeting. It should be fun as usual and Hamlet just might perform. (Cross your fingers!)

Anyway, that's all I have for now folks! Hope to see you at the cabaret!

An Update on All Things Thespian

October 27, 2011
First of all, if you are going to state, you must check the registration outside of Ms. Hann's door and initial by your name for registration, for your IEs and for hotels. Please take care of that as soon as possible.

Next: Cabaret auditions will continue after we get back from break. We will have additional auditions Novermber 1st, 2nd, and 3rd during lunch. Please sign up to audition on a sign up sheet outside of the black box. We had very few auditions this week which is a bummer. Cabaret ...

DUES DUES DUES

October 3, 2011
Hi Thespians,
It's your treasurer Marlo Berberian. As most of you know thespian dues were due last Wednesday. Because of the theatre major DCPA field trip late fee due dates were somewhat tampered with. Because of this we have extended the due date to Monday, with a $10 late fee.

Some things to think about for next time:
One: If you need a thespian scholarship or payment plan, please submit 3 weeks prior to money due date. We sent forms home with everyone on our first meeting. If you need anot...

The All School Mu:2

September 27, 2011
See how I rhymed the title? Hello fellow Thespians! Outreach Officer Jake, here. Just wanted to do a quick post on The All School musical that closed 2 weekends ago: The Pajama Game! From an insider point of view, I just want to say that it was a very busy, exciting experience that I learned so much from. I grew a lot individually from the entire production, and our cast really learned to support each other as an ensemble. The show ended with the school in high spirits, and a new legacy to ad...

Yes.

September 27, 2011
Heyyyy. It's Everett, the intermediate historian. Back for another blog! So I haven't blogged since my first one. BAD! Anyway, just got finished with Pajama Game a few weeks ago. The show went great from my point of view as the Assistant Director. Being the Assistant Director was such a great experience. Yes there was some work involved, duh, but I had a lot of fun in the process. Even though I wasn't in the cast, I became very close with them and got a lot of new friends out of it. Also, con...
