Oh yeah! Blogging.

March 2, 2012
Hey it's MEEEE! Your intermediate historian Everett! Wow it has been forever since I last blogged! Not sure if we're still doing this or not...well I am!
Anyways, tomorrow is the Cabaret! Or should I say Crabaret...if you don't know what I'm talking about well then here ya go. We came up with the idea of the Cabaret Crab and decided that I will MC the Cabaret as that crab. So i developed this stupid voice and stance and yeah...
So I've been getting really excited for Laughing Stock! i can't tell you too much because we're keeping all our jokes secret! But the show has really come together and is hilarious. I have had the best time working with this wonderful cast and seeing all the amazing ideas they come up with! I knew when I first read that play that I NEEDED to be in it. And I am forever grateful for getting cast!
Well I guess that concludes this blog. Ok.

WINTERTIME

January 4, 2012
WINTERTIME IS:
"An amusing play full of convoluted love triangles and a magnified look at humanity through birch trees and imagination."
 -Te Yelland
"WINTERTIME will take you to the chilly heart of a New York forest where a hilariously dysfunctional family has just accidentally converged at their not-so-summery summer home. Watch as they thaw out their issues and heat up their arguments."
-Sam Van Wetter

Wintertime opens the 19!!! Come one come all! Seriously though....it's required for all ...

Theatre, State, and things related (to an extent)

January 4, 2012
Hey! Hey! You! You! I don't like your girlfriend. (To quote Avril Lavigne, I'm not sure how to spell her name)

Now that i've got your attention, first and foremost, I hope that everyone had an absolutely amazing break. I'll tell ya, mine was very good; however, it will be ending in just a few short hours.

Over break, I did a few theatre related things, maybe more than a few, maybe not, but I'll sum it up for you. I listened to the soundtrack for Love Never Dies (the sequel to Phantom o...

Wintertime...really though

January 4, 2012
Hi everyone! Happy new year, hope you are all ready to get back into the swing of things at school.
Am I the only one who has developed spring fever now that the Christmas season is gone?
Before we rush into spring, the theatre department has one last huzzah to winter with a show called Wintertime.
Directed by guest artist Allison Watrous, (assistant directed by me woohooo), this show is beautiful yet farcical story of discombobulated and mixed up couples who all had secretly planned to reside...

Maltz's New Shenanigans

January 4, 2012
GREETINGS!!!

It is I! Ryan Dean Maltz. Speaking of which, I'm thinking of possibly having my name at graduation pronounced Ryan Dean Maltz the First or Ryan Dean Maltz Esquire or Ryan Dean Maltz Jr. Esquire the Third... I can hear Thornton saying it out loud already

But that's besides the point. As I sit here on my green striped white couch with my Dell Latitude D810 on my lap, which is currently overheating and burning my upper thighs, I am typing up this blog...yeah...

The 2000 Panasonic TV in...

Aaaaaaaand We're Back!

January 4, 2012
Hey there, Thespians.

It has been far too long since I posted something on here and instead of doing things that I should be doing, I'm going to update all of you.

Tomorrow we kick off another great semester, which I'm sure feels more like a slow punch in the face after this gorgeous holiday we just had, but always keep your mind open and be prepared to finish off this really great year (or not so great, depending on your situation, nonetheless you deserve to end it fabulously).  Intermediate ...

THESCON 2011

December 11, 2011
Hello Thespians, this is Outreach Jake. I just got back from State Thespian Convention 2011! And you might have too! To recap, it was a very successful conference for DSA. We had 5 (count 'em) FIVE Critic's Choice Mainstage performances. So congrats Terra, Ethan, Sam, Carson, Amanda, Everett and Andie! You guys all kicked the butt of the mainstageness. Also Soda and Stefan both won the Critic's Choice Scholarship, and Ethan and Ryan got cast in next year's All-State Show! This is an informal ...
