Hey! This is your outreach officer Mei Mei. If you have already read some of the below posts, you are aware of the changes coming up in the upcoming year. Change is scary, but trust me, trust all of us, it's going to be positive change. The new room (which is TBD) is going to have more space than Moss's. Moss is going to explore and grow in the creative writing department and we are going to explore and grow with our new theatre teacher Mr.Becker. We talked to Mr.Becker and I have to say, he's pretty chillin' and awesome. I can tell he has a lot of amazing things to teach us and he is heading into this job with dedication, an open mind, and an open heart. We must trust him, we must have faith in him. We must have faith in ourselves, each other, and the department. Remember, the main thing that makes our school and department so so good is us. We must have open hearts and positive attitudes - that is the way to make this change positive. If we have those things, the change will help us grow tremendously as artists, people, and as a team.

About Me: I'm your outreach officer. The board and I have some great ideas for next year. There's going to be more community outreach to other schools in the area- particularly in DPS. We are going to spread information about thespians and theatre to other schools in the district that may not be adequately informed. We are going to foster more connections with other high school troupes and theatre departments- particularly in support for their shows. My biggest dream is to start some sort of after-school drama thing for some schools in Denver that have none. I'm going to work really hard for this and hopefully there will be opportunity for YOU to go teach and foster at some of these programs (seniors- it would make a great internship!) Also, we are going to create more connection with the denver theatre community - be looking forward to more involvement with some of the great community and professional theatre we have here. All right, enjoy your summer thespians! May it be magical! When you return to school, return with open hearts, open minds, and a readiness to do what we love and it will be great!
Love love love,
Mei Mei
