Hello Thespians!

It’s your freshman rep Jimmy. So I hope you guys are all enjoying your summer nights. So I’m currently packing and getting ready to go to Nationals by packing, blogging and listening to my Summer Playlist  and pretty sure that Call Me Maybe is unexplainable…Why is it so catchy?

But whatever its about enjoying summer right? Hope all is well with you all.

Anyway, So my post today will be about my change from Junior Thespian Troupe to High School Thespian Troupe. Well its already very different as JRT member you learn the basic of being a thespian but you don’t really get the Thespis feeling and honor until you are a freshman. You really become like awesome; you start to have classy conversations with other students about unknown musicals and what is there favorite part of Wicked.  Haha you might also become a throat coat addict I could drink that 24/7 (but I don’t). I think that JRT is a learning lesson its when you emotionally have to drag yourself and perform your IE, even if you are so sick that the whole song you could barely hit any of the notes and all you can do is keep going and performing. I learned that I have more confidence performing Main Stage during state then when I am in the IE room standing on that tiny carpeted stage looking at every face in that room. Plus as JRT State is about watching IE’s and cheering on your school and other talented Thespians and eating dinner at The Corner Office then watching someone from your school perform Mainstage, well that was my experience and loved and appreciated every moment. Now that I’m in High School I can start taking workshops that I have wanted to take for the past three years but I couldn’t take because I wasn’t a high school Thespian. The only big difference from JRT and HS Thespians is that you feel official and like you are one of those lucky actors (because you are). Well that’s it for now, have a great summer!
