Hello fellow thespians, its Kelsi your tech rep! I am so excited to be starting my second year in this position and am ready to start helping out. 

As you all know Medea is being performed this week! When you come and see the show you can see the wonderful talents of the actors but let’s pause for a moment and talk about the designs. No show is complete without killer designs and Medea has nothing less. The designers have found a way to make this already powerful show even more moving.

The set allows for an even more climactic ending (which I can’t tell you anything more about it or I will spoil it).

The lights add such a mood to the stage that the emotional connection to this show becomes even more powerful, not to mention the really cool uses of the lights.

The costumes bring the actors to life as their characters and you can’t forget the masks! (They are the coolest thing ever, but a pain when you are handling microphones).

And the sound is super even if you really don’t think about it when you see the show as a whole the live musicians sound amazing and add an even cooler aspect!

As you can probably tell I LOVE the designs of this show and the best part is all the designers are friends of mine and I have gotten to watch them create this show.

So if you haven’t gone to see Medea yet make sure to take it all in, every last aspect of this show and think about all the people have put their heart and soul into it.
