Getting Pumped for Drama Dash 2012

Hey guys I am Andie your new Outreach Officer :) If you do not know the Outreach officer position is there to bring new people into the troupe and that is exactly what I am so excited to do. I hope you are all having a great summer and getting pumped for the Drama Dash 2012.
So I know that you might have gotten the information about the Drama Dash and have been a little confused. So...........here I am to clear that up for you :) On August 25th we will be arriving at the Cherry Creek Resevoir to begin the walk for theatre. The team lists that have been posted (grouped by colors) and these are going to be the people that you will be walking with and participating in the games with. Every year we do a fundraiser and often times the students end up not getting the most out of it. But that is not going to happen this year. This is going to be a fun event where you can make money for DSA Theatre, hang out with friends and get a little bit of exercise.....which is never a bad thing! Not only will the walk that we participate in with our color/country groups be a blast but so will the games that we are playing after. We are taking on the idea of the Olympics in 2012 for our own purposes. After we finish our walk we will head down to the beach or some designated area to play games as our countries and do somewhat of a closing ceremonies.
Now, what can you guys be dong over this summer to get ready for this fantastic event? The most important thing you can do is to be getting pledges! This will be a fun day for us to hang out but it is also still the main fundraiser of the year. This means that it is our primary time to raise our 300 dollars for theatre. The pledge sheets have been sent out over email so make sure to get pledges for the miles we will be walking!
