Greetings to all our wonderful Thespian enthusiasts! 

It has been a crazy week hasn't it; the first week of school has already passed and it is now the beginning of September!
For those of you who might be wondering when Thespian activities will commence, they will actually be starting up quite soon- within the next week, that is!
The Officer Board met at lunch last week to plan the first Thespian Troupe Meeting and how we should advertise the Thespian Society effectively, to attract more people to the Troupe. 
As Secretary, it is my duty to record the "Minutes" of each meeting; or simply takes notes and organize the ideas/topics we discussed. You will see me use this term quite frequently, because I will be posting the Minutes from every Thespian meeting; whether it is All Troupe or Officer related. If any of you would like to receive a more explanation of the Minutes, feel free to contact me! 
 
Here are the FIRST Officer Minutes! 
  •  At the First All Troupe Thespian Meeting on September 12th, we will be discussing how to apply to be a Major Representative on the Officer Board for 2012-2013 school year. Positions will be determined by the Troupe's elections, which will be happening shortly. 
  • Returning Thespians will be checking in with the Officers at the next All Troupe Meeting, to make sure they are registered as an official member and that their info is documented. If they are not signed up or if they happen to be a new Thespian, the Officers will be adding their names to the roster.
  • Ice Cream Social after school, starting September 5th-7th. We will be handing out ice cream/popsicles and information about the Troupe- don't miss out!
  • New Thespian Meeting on September 5th, at Lunch in the Black Box. If you are a new student or someone who wants to join the society, this meeting will give the basic facts about Thespians and how to join! We will explain events, point cards, and performance opportunities so that you know what lies ahead for this year! 
  • We also talked about how we are going to advocate the society to other majors; via email, visiting classrooms, and morning or afternoon school announcements.
  • Lastly, the officers started discussing the Student Sign Ups: Talking to the Thespian Officers. There will be numerous flyers around the building, mainly by the L-Studio and Black Box, that will be there for you to sign your name and reserve a spot to talk to us, on September 10th. A goal of the Board this year was to maintain a closer relationship to our Troupe members; therefore this a way for us to get to know you, as well as listen to any questions, concerns, or helpful ideas you might have to contribute to the society. We would love to hear your input!
