Hola amigos!!
Vice President Harmon here..
I am so excited for this year guys. Like, an overload of excitement really. :) Myself, and my other fellow officers, met up and discussed our happenings next year as a troupe and department, and as you all know, most of it was about the all of the change. Some of you have been really opposed to these changes because it may seem a tad scary. Your used to your usual teachers and learning environment because that's what your comfortable with. However, I assure you, these changes are for the best. We need to start this year off with a positive and healthy mind set! We need to welcome Mr. Becker with open arms and trust that he will bring us wonderful new ideas and knowledge. He has a lot of teaching experience and is bringing this department a lot of new training, and just because he has a lot of training in dance does not automatically mean our department will turn "Musical Theatre", as some of you are fearing. We skyped with him and we expressed these concerns with him and he assured us that he has no intensions of that happening. He seems like a very good fit for our teacher and I'm excited to see him in action. And besides, I really do think we need some help in the dance and movement department. So hopfully, we can wip us into shape! :)
We have a lot of fun thespian events planned, so keep an eye out for those! I don't want to repeat everything else everyone has already blogged about, so I'll wrapped this up. But, I really do hope you all keep an open mind about this year. It's going to be different yes, but super exciting and beneficial. It's just what we need to take that extra step in moving this departnment forward, in doing so, keeping this department and major thriving! Yeah!!
With all that said, I will leave you with this...
