The Edinburgh Fringe Festival

Posted by Mitchell Lippitt on Thursday, August 15, 2013, In : Advanced Historian

Well we’re back! That 19 day excursion to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival was beyond marvelous. We got to be real actors for a couple of days, thrown into this crazy life that they have. It was truly eye opening to see how this process unfolded on such a large scale. This privilege we were given, was humbling and a once in a lifetime experience. I personally enjoyed the culture of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. There were no rules to what could happen. Anything was possible through th...

Oh...reminiscent...sad

Posted by Zach Cantor on Tuesday, May 3, 2011, In : Advanced Historian
Having realized that I (and every other officer) completely missed the last two months (just barely missed that second one though), I thought it would be a good idea to come back to this, just to wrap up.

So as a senior, I have 11 days left at DSA. Weird. The following officers are graduating: Eli, myself, Mei Mei, Harmon, and formerly Austin. Formerly an officer, not formerly graduating. He is almost certainly possibly graduating.

Coming up-- 4,5,6--TERRARIUM! So proud of my class. Come suppo...

December, biatch!

Posted by Zachg Cantor on Thursday, December 2, 2010, In : Advanced Historian
Am I allowed to say "biatch"? I don't think I am. My bad. Biatch redacted.

So. December time. The biggest news is that state is in a week and a half WHAAAAAT?
This means, IEs, scholarship auditions for the seniors, Alexander Johnson in ANOTHER mainstage show, and of course, Flight of the Lawnchair Man. DSA has almost 100 IEs this year. That's about 1/6 of all IEs at the conference. Lookin sharp for nationals.

Also, THERE IS A FALL CABARET THIS FRIDAY INSIDE JOE. Theme? Mexican! But really. Shoul...

Other highlights of the trip include:
SEVERAL amazing DSA IEs
P.S. It's Not What It Looks Like (Now critically acclaimed!)
College Auditions (and ...

Posted by Zach Cantor on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, In : Advanced Historian
Hey friends! Senior Officer Zach Cantor here. I am your Advanced Historian for the year. Mostly this means documenting the year for use in the banquet video. This blogging thing is great!

So, as stated in every other post, this year is bringing about a lot of change. We, as a board, have heard (and discussed) a lot of fears concerning that change. Like my fellow officers, I'd like to take a moment to address the fear I've heard the most:

This is going to become a musical theatre major.
Since I'...
