And the school year begins!

Quick reminder: FIRST MANDATORY ALL-TROUPE THESPIAN MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY!!! BE THERE.
So this school year started off wonderfully for the theatre department with the lock-in. Though it was an exhausting night, with absolutely no sleep, it was a very fun and productive night. I feel like the major has gained a sense of connection that was wonderful to feel as we started off the school year! Besides seeing people lip-sync at four in the morning is just good fun. :)
And the first couple days of school have also come and gone so quickly! Friday (or Thursday if you're a 6th grader) was the famous first day! It's always great to reconnect with the people that you haven't seen much over the summer and to get a general feel for how the school year is going to go. But today (monday) was when things really started to get going! The first day of all blacks was awesome in my opinion! There was a sense of unity and professionalism already that I think will really help our major grow! I can't wait to see how much the department does grow over the years as well as all of the wonderful scene day work that will be showcased before we know it. :)
All in all, I think this year has gotten off to a lovely start, so here's to an awesome year!!
