Hello Thespians, Samie Jo here, 

This is an update on Middle School Theatre Convention, State, and a reminder that there is a mandatory all troupe thespian meeting Wednesday November 30th at lunch in the black box. 

First: Middle School Theatre Convention! There are many attachments on this email. Most of them have to do with MSTC. (Or MSTD...same thing) The final teachers list is available under the MSTC tab. Please check if you are teaching classes and who you're teaching them with. Please coordinate with the teachers in your class and come up with one lesson plan (an outline is on the MSTC tab if you would like to use it) and turn in one lesson plan per class to the officers at the all troupe meeting on November 30th. When making the lesson plan, please keep in mind the description of your class. You can find this on the MSTC flier--which is also on the MSTC tab. 

If you want to participate in MSTC (because you want a share of the money for the nationals bus or because you like thespians) and are not teaching a class there are still tons of ways you can participate. We need people to help with registration, to help with lunch, to stand in the halls and direct lost children, and to attend classes and keep up the enthusiasm. We can also always add assistants to any of the classes. If you are interested in doing these types of things, please email me or sign up at the November 30th meeting. 

One more thing with MSTC. We are asking all of you (especially those participating) to please donate beverages or desserts. We need at least 40 people to donate 10 dessert items and/or 10 beverages at the very least. We would greatly appreciate it if all of you brought some sort of donation on December 3rd to feed to the kids taking workshops. Thank you in advance for your generosity!! 

Also on the note of feeding people: teachers may or may not be able to eat food after all of the kids participating are fed. We have quite a few kids pre-registered and we are hoping for a huge turnout. So, we cannot guarantee that there will be any lunch leftover for you guys. So please plan on bringing a lunch or making a very quick run to grab some lunch if you are planning on helping out at MSTC. 

We'll talk more about MSTC at the meeting, but if you have any questions before then, you can always email me. 

I have also attached the state rules in case you've forgotten or lost them. Please have these signed and turned into the folder on Ms. Hann's door no later than december 2nd. Also we will only be able to walk in groups of two if every single person going to state circles "yes" on the state rules form regarding groups of two. 

Alright everyone. Get working on those lesson plans and get those state rules signed and I will see you all at the meeting on November 30th.
